LAMINATED GLASS

Laminated glass is both a safety and a security product.  It is consists two panes of glass bonded together with an adhesive or “interlayer” to form one complete pane of glass. Under impact, laminated glass breaks but fragments remain adhered to the interlayer, thus reducing the amount of loose splinters or shards.

When an object or body strikes a laminated pane hard enough to shatter the glass, the resilience of the interlayer prevents the object or person from passing through the unit. Laminated glass is also capable of resisting repeated, multiple impacts for a longer period of time than other type of glass.
